Sending a Teams message the moment you write it is not always the best idea. That is especially true for messages just before the end of the day or outside regular working hours.
The good news: in Teams you can schedule messages for later, a feature that is also available in Outlook.
How it works
Press and hold the send option and pick a time in the future. The message is only delivered at that moment. That way you protect your colleagues' downtime, and you avoid your message landing outside working hours.
Good to know
- Scheduled send is available in Teams desktop and on the web.
- The same principle works in Outlook for emails.
- Until the scheduled time you can still edit or delete the message.
